The THRON is available in a total of four sizes, from S to XL. In typical FOCUS fashion, geometry is anything but radical. With its 470 mm reach in size L, the THRON is right in the middle of this test. However, the short chainstays and steep head angle also make it relatively short (1211 mm wheelbase in L). The pedaling position is very upright and feels almost too compact, with the narrow 760 mm handlebars only compounding this.

Good bike
Excellent experience, first direct-to-consumer bike purchase. The bike arrived 4 days after the order was placed. Excellent packaging. Quick assembly, everything checked out well. Have a couple of short rides while setting up suspension done, and am very satisfied with my decision to go this route. Looking forward to getting longer rides in.

Beyond Expectations
The bike came ahead of schedule and within a week of purchase (west coast). Even the detail in the packaging and the included tools really show the effort put into making this a quality product. The bike itself is awesome. Easy assembly, surprisingly easy to maintain, won’t win any awards climbing but it isn’t noticeably harder than any other bikes I own. It’s just simply a great value for what you end up paying. Just pull the trigger, you will not regret it.

Really good bike
Love the bike. Everything came packaged well with all the tools you need. A little too much grease in the BB and none in the steering tube/headset, but easily remedied. The only issue was that it came with 2.6″ tires, which is too wide and not the 2.4″ that’s advertised. Assuming it’s because of shortages and that’s all they could get.

Love the bike
Excellent MTB, climbing mountains on rocks, roots, feels very light, and better maneuverability, very good suspension, good brakes, in descent it has limitations, but it works very well. Actually, everything works for what it was designed for. Thanks.

Great Value
It’s a very fun bike, especially when going downhill and it’s very stable when you run into surprises. The only drawbacks are some tire rubbing when the suspension is fully engaged and the carbon texture on the aluminum radiator frame.

Great bike with 2 anamensis
I purchased this bike because it seemed to be a great bang for your buck full suspension trail bike. I first had to pre-order the bike because of the whole shortage issues with bikes and bike parts. Once the bike did ship it took about 6 days to arrive. Assembly was ok but the booklet provided was not very helpful. I would search your bike model on YouTube to find a build video if this is your first time building up a bike. Once all assembled the bike road was good but the shocks needed to be dialed in, unfortunately, this bike does not come with a shock pump. After purchasing a shock pump at a local bike shop and getting everything set up to my liking it was time to ride. And I can say after more than a month on this bike it rides great. It’s not perfect the seat is not great and the breaks leave me desiring a bit more. But everything else is on point for a great price. I know really want a dirt jumper from Focus

What a shredder!
I ordered this bike after doing some research without a demo, which made me kinda nervous. When it arrived (5 days after the order was placed) it was packaged very well, it came with all the tools to put it together and torque the bolts. Straight out of the box, it was tuned pretty well and shredded my local trails. The only complaint would be there was no O ring on the front fork to measure sag, which is why I gave a 4star. All in all, it was a great experience, and would definitely purchase another FOCUS.

Great bike to build confidence
We live on Mt Hood and I have been trying to get my kids to want to ride down the mountain with me. They didn’t like riding on their hardtail bikes down the rough trails with all of the many roots and exposed rocks. Then I found this Thron 6.9 Nine with a good amount of travel, larger wheels, disc brakes, dropper post, cool colors, and a great price. I thought that I would give it a shot. So far it has been worth it. The kids are now flying down the hill with smiles on their faces just rolling over those rocks and roots where there were tears before. We did have to set up the suspension and cut down the handlebars to accommodate kids around 5 foot tall, but that wasn’t hard with youtube and a pipe cutter. It was a good bonding moment with the kids and their new machine. The issue now is that I need to buy another one because sharing is not a problem this bike will solve

Poor customer service!
The website was good, shipping was fine, but my bike was packaged poorly from the factory. This caused a brake line to get damaged and almost unusable. I reported it, expecting it to be replaced. So far I got the run-around and nothing has been done to fix it.

Amazing bike for the price!
The bike showed up 2 days early. Assembly was straightforward, about 30 mins. Took the bike out on some trails, handles great in rowdy sections, climbs pretty efficient, and can handle small to intermediate jumps and drops well(haven’t hit anything big with it yet). Overall, very satisfied with this purchase, especially with the delivery time considering most other brands have insane wait times.
